【跨國同婚國際相挺】

台灣伴侶權益推動聯盟（簡稱：伴盟）自4月25日起向國際性別平權組織發出邀請，連署支持台灣跨國同婚合法，邀請發出後獲得國際社群的熱烈迴響，最後有來自香港、日本、南韓、馬來西亞、泰國、尼泊爾、印尼、美國等20個國際回覆相挺。

自2012年伴盟公布「多元成家三法」草案，亞洲各國的性別平權組織便注意到此發展，伴盟每一年都受邀至不同國家分享經驗或擔任培訓講師，和亞洲各國的性別平權組織發展出的夥伴關係。

由於世界上目前通過同婚的國家中，均未限制跨國同婚，因此台灣同婚專法未完整納入跨國同婚，也在第一時間引發國際社群的討論。針對伴盟此次發出的連署，各國性別平權領袖也展現高度團結與相挺，幾乎都在第一時間回覆加入，對於台灣是否能在短期內通過跨國同婚，多數領袖對蔡英文政府展露信心，認為蔡總統已經挺過最艱難的一刻並成功連任，跨國同婚若能在近期通過，應不至於遭來太大的反挫。

去年五月，在政府、公民團體與所有人民的共同努力之下，台灣成為了亞洲第一個承認同志婚姻的國家。被國際視為台灣人權的一大步、也是亞洲人權的一大步。台灣的成就鼓舞了亞洲各國的運動領袖，投入更多資源倡議婚姻平權，伴盟作為國際社群的一份子，除了邀請各國相挺台灣，也持續提供各國必要的協助，期許所有國家都能持續努力消弭恐同與歧視，平等保障同志權益。

Beginning on April 25, TAPCPR, one of the Taiwanese organizations promoting marriage equality, launched a petition calling for international solidarity with our struggle for transnational same-sex marriage rights in Taiwan. The petition has been signed by human rights INGOs and organizations from Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Nepal, Indonesia, and the USA.

Ever since TAPCPR published the draft of our three bills for Diversified Family Formation in 2012, equal marriage organizations in Asia have been following relevant legal developments in Taiwan. As a result, through our speaking engagements and participating in workshops overseas, TAPCPR has developed strong partnerships with many groups working for gender equality and LGBTI rights across Asia.

The fact that no other country where same-sex marriage is legal has prohibited transnational couples from marrying (like Taiwan does) has been highlighted as an issue of concern by international human rights groups. Thus, when TAPCPR announced the petition last month, many organization leaders joined and supported without hesitation. Moreover, they have expressed confidence in the democratic government of Taiwan’s ability to rectify this part of the law, believing that President Tsai and her administration have already accomplished the most difficult part of the movement: passing the same-sex marriage law.
